What is UPA
UPA is an association of professionals with a mission to advance the usability profession through education, information, skill-building and improved methods and practices.
UPA members believe that usability should be everyone’s job; that usability should be an integral part of products and services. We work towards raising awareness of usability’s role in the global marketplace, in education, and in government.
Members are employed in a wide variety of fields, including hardware and software design and development; banking and investing; telecommunications; transportation; marketing; insurance; education; government services; research; and consulting.
Through networking, publications and conferences, UPA can help you achieve your professional goal -- the development of usable, efficient, effective and economical products and services.
Regardless of industry or discipline, we are colleagues in pursuit of a common goal: better products and services, better working, and better living through usability.
Membership Categories
UPA welcomes all individuals who apply usability principles in their work. There are several categories of membership:

Companies with multiple members can receive a 20% discount on dues and conference registrations for all employees. |

Attend conferences and

The UPA annual conference provides five days of innovative presentations,
panels and tutorials geared towards multiple levels of experience. Members
receive reduced rates for the annual conference, held in June each year.
