How to make an effective presentation
Promoting Your Chapter
If your chapter has a news-worthy event -- something that will be of interest to people outside of your local area -- consider asking the Director of Chapters and UPA Office to issue a press release. These press releases are sent to a list of industry and general press and web sites, and are posted on the UPA web site . These releases help people interested in UPA get a well-rounded picture of the activities and people who make up the association and are part of our visible history. Examples of good press releases include:
- Conferences or other public events created or sponsored by the chapter
- News by or about members, such as receiving an award or other recognition
- Public service activities sponsored by the chapter
.
