This poster discusses the findings of a study using an extended
Heuristic Evaluation framework to evaluate websites. The results of the
study reveal that Heuristic Evaluation can benefit from the addition of
a contextualised layer, called a ‘usability problems profile’, being
incorporated into its framework. This is because we found a ‘usability
problems profile’ helps focus the evaluators in their website appraisals
and, hence, results in more reliable findings across evaluators.
