Poster #15: The Use of Minimalist Training in Usability Testing

Carroll’s (1990) “minimal manual” concept was employed in training designed to give usability test participants the conceptual knowledge needed to complete complex tasks using a novel user interface The data demonstrates that users could learn to achieve these tasks after only minimal training on the theoretical concepts behind the interface.
