Usability Spooferama: A Comic Look at the Profession and its Professionals
with Deborah Sova, Singer/Songwriter, Mentalist, Photographer, Detective, Pickpocket, and Usability Specialist

Deborah combines irony, wit, original music, and subtle psychological charlatanism to poke irreverent fun at...us! Dinner and entertainment are complimentary with registration; extra tickets are available for $75.

About the performer...

Deborah Hinderer Sova is an accomplished musician, contributing to the performing arts since a very young age. She began her professional music career as oboist with the Grand Rapids (Michigan) Symphony and then later served as English hornist and oboist with the Toledo (Ohio) Symphony. Her tenure with these orchestras also included work with ballet, opera, and Broadway musicals. Deborah has also played with Milwaukee's Festival City Symphony.

A versatile artist, Deborah also writes and performs her own songs, and she has composed incidental music for community and professional theater productions. In Ann Arbor, Michigan, Deborah founded a multi-faceted arts ensemble, Current and Modern Consort, whose charter was to perform original new works and that included professional and student musicians, dancers, actors, and singers. The University of Michigan music composition faculty encouraged students to seek public performances of their works, as required by their curriculum, with Current and Modern Consort.

As a comedienne, Deborah began at an early age to hone her talent for making people laugh. Her Usability Spooferama will combine her musical talents with comedic insights about the usability professionals we admire and respect.
