There will be at least 14 Student Volunteer slots to
be filled. Slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served
basis, with priority given to full-time students over
part-time students until June 2, 2003.
How to register: If you want to volunteer
to work a tutorial please contact one of the student
volunteer chairs, Jeanine
Williamson or Lena
Miyamoto, as soon as possible with your preferences.
We will make every effort to honor preferences, but
volunteer slots are filled on a first-come, first-served
basis. You also have the option of attending and paying
the student rate for the tutorials if you would prefer
to fully take the tutorial. If you are working a tutorial,
please do not register for the tutorial
on the online or mail/fax registration (you will
get charged for it).
Travel & lodging: Unfortunately,
UPA cannot provide travel or lodging subsidies to student
volunteers. We encourage students to share rooms at
the conference hotel, or at more affordable nearby alternatives.
