The UPA Conference was heralded in the Montreal newspaper Le Devoir, with
quotes from French Track organizer, Alain Robillard-Bastien. The article
begins: Who hasn't had trouble seeking information on the Internet? Fitted
out with soft colors and elegant images, many web sites seem tempting
at first, but then exasperate us when we cannot find the information we
are looking for after a few minutes.

The Common Industry Format for
reporting summative test results is now an ISO standard. Read more about
the project that created this standard and is now working on formats for
requirements and formative test results at the IUSR web site.

Large users hope for broader
adoption of usability standard (ComputerWorld) June 20, 2005.
The ISO's technology standards committee voted late last month to accept
the standard, known as the Common Industry Format for Usability Test Reports,

US VOTING GUIDELINES OPEN FOR
REVIEW
The US Election Assistance Commission (EAC) has released a draft of new
Voluntary Voting System Guidelines for a 90-day public comment period.
Usability and accessiblity guidelines are in Section 2.2.7. The complete
draft guidelines and instructions for submitting a comment are on the
EAC web site.

PROJECT LAUNCHED
A team of organizers including Lisa Battle, Nigel Bevan, Duane Degler
and Chauncey Wilson announced progress on developing a Body of Knowledge
for usability professionals.

Für eine 90tägige Periode legt die amerikanische Wahlhelferkommission
(EAC) nun der Öffentlichkeit einen Entwurf ihrer neuen freiwilligen
Richtlinien fürs Abstimmungssystem vor. Die Usability und Accessibility

ENTREGA DE PREMIOS
Chauncey Wilson, Susan Fowler y Alice Preston han sido premiados por el

ESTADOS UNIDOS ABIERTAS A CAMBIOS
