Nine In Ten Online Shoppers Frustrated (TechWeb, 14 November 2005)

VOTING AND USABILITY
On December 13, the US Election Assistance Commission approved new voting system guidelines. UPA member Whitney Quesenbery is the chair for Human Factors and Privacy on the advisory committee (TGDC) that helped write these guidelines.

USABILITY BODY OF KNOWLEDGE TO PREVIEW
UPA’s Usability Body of Knowledge (BoK) project will launch a preview site soon, with sample content planned for this long-term project. The goal for the BoK is to become a living reference that represents the collective knowledge of the usability profession. Your input is needed! Visit the preview site to provide feedback on sample topics, suggest new topics, or volunteer to contribute as an author or reviewer.

NEW FACES AT THE UPA OFFICE
Ed Grochowski has joined the UPA office team as Member Service Manager. He comes to UPA with five years' experience in association management, handling a wide variety of duties. Ed takes over from Allen Mayse, as the friendly voice answering phones and email. We will miss Allen, who changed jobs so he could be closer to his family.

Am 13.12 wurden von der US Wahlhilfe-Kommission die neuen Richtlinien für Wahlsysteme genehmigt. UPA Mitglied Whitney Quesenbery hat im Beratungsausschuss, welcher mitgeholfen hat, die Richtlinien zu erstellen, das "Human Factor und Privacy"-Präsidium inne.

Ed Grochowski arbeitet neu im UPA Office als Mitglieder-Servicemanager. Er verfügt über eine breite, langjährige Erfahrung im Verbandsmanagement. Ed Grochowski si è unito al team dell'ufficio UPA in qualità di Member Service Manager. Arriva in UPA dopo 5 anni di esperienza nella gestione di associazioni, con una ricca varietà di mansioni svolte. Ed sostituisce Allen Mayse e la sua voce amichevole che rispondeva al telefono ed alla posta elettronica. Sentiremo la mancanza di Allen, che ha cambiato lavoro per stare più vicino alla sua famiglia.
