the publications has a different approach and tone, but all three are
dealing with issues of value vs. time-to-publication. Share your opinions

WORLD USABILITY DAY 2006 KICKOFF
This year will be even bigger and more far reaching. We have put into
place a team of Regional Liaisons, members of the UXNet team of Local
Ambassadors to coordinate events, encouraging more collaborative events.
On Monday evening June 12, at the annual UPA conference, we will celebrate
a successful first year, and kickoff planning for World Usability Day
2006.

UPA 2006 LEADER DAY
UPA is pleased to announce that the 2006 Leader Day meeting will be held
at the UPA conference on Sunday June 11th (the day before the conference
begins) from 1:00pm to 4:30pm. The meeting is a forum where current and
future UPA leaders can meet face-to-face, learn more about the workings
and initiatives of the UPA, and help develop the next generation of UPA
leaders. The meeting is open to anyone who is currently or has been a
UPA "leader"-- volunteers, committee members, chapter leaders,
etc. There is no charge to attend this event.

NEW CHAIR FOR ETHICS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Richard Bellaver will be taking over as chair of the Ethics Advisory Committee
as Chauncey Wilson steps down. Chauncey was one of the authors of the
UPA Code of Professional Conduct, and worked closely with Richard during
it's trial period. We thank of them for their leadership in this work.

Tests d’utilisabilité à distance (Webpronews.com, 3 avril 2006) – « Internet et les connexions rapides
à large bande renforcent la capacité à déployer des vidéos de haute qualité
et rendent l'observation des utilisateurs plus précise pour les experts
de l’utilisabilité. Suite à cette prémisse, nous pouvons ainsi affirmer
que le test d’utilisabilité à distance est une technique qui exploite
l'utilisateur (à la maison ou au bureau !), transformant ce dernier en
laboratoire d’utilisabilité, puisque l'observation des utilisateurs peut
être réalisée simplement à partir d’un écran partageant des applications.

PLANIFICATION DE LA JOURNÉE MONDIALE DE L’UTILISABILITÉ 2006
Cette année, la journée mondiale de l’utilisabilité sera encore plus grande
et plus importante. Nous avons créé une équipe de Liaison régionale, soit
des membres de l'équipe d'ambassadeurs locaux UXNet, pour coordonner les
événements et encourager davantage la collaboration. Lundi soir, le 12
juin, lors de la conférence annuelle UPA, nous célébrerons la réussite
de cette première année et nous entamerons la planification de la journée
mondiale de l’utilisabilité 2006.

« UPA 2006 LEADER DAY »
UPA est heureux d'annoncer que la réunion pour le « UPA 2006 Leader
Day » se tiendra lors de la conférence d'UPA, le dimanche 11 juin
(une journée avant le début de la conférence) de 13:00 à 16:30. Cette
rencontre sera un forum de discussion où les leaders actuels et futurs
d'UPA pourront discuter face à face, en apprendre davantage au sujet du
fonctionnement et des initiatives de l'UPA, et aider à développer la prochaine
génération de leaders de l’UPA. La réunion est ouverte à toutes les personnes
présentement ou ayant été impliquées dans des activités de leadership
au sein d’UPA – bénévoles, comité des membres, dirigeant d’un chapitre,
etc. Aucun frais n’est exigé pour assister à cet événement.

NOUVELLE CHAIRE POUR LE COMITÉ CONSULTATIF D’ÉTHIQUE
Richard Bellaver succédera à Chauncey Wilson au niveau de la chaire du
comité consultatif d'éthique. Chauncey fut l'un des auteurs du code de
conduite professionnelle de l’UPA et a travaillé étroitement avec Richard
au moment de sa période de transition. Nous les remercions pour leur implication

DISKUSSION ÜBER DIE UPA PUBLIKATIONS-STRATEGIE
Treffen Sie während der UPA Konferenz am Mittwochabend die Redaktoren
der Zeitschrift "User Experience", der Online-Publikaton "UPA
Voice" und des "Journals of Usability Studies". Jede der

WELT-USABILITY-TAG 2006 KICKOFF
Dieses Jahr wird der der Welt-Usability-Tag noch grössere Kreise ziehen.
Wir müssen deshalb lokale Teams formen, um lokale Events zu koordinieren,
so dass wir gemeinschaftliche Events besser fördern können. Am 12. Juni
werden wir an der UPA2006 den ersten Welt-Usability-Tag 205 feiern und
gleichzeitig den Kickoff für den 2. Welt-Usability-Tag 2006 durchführen.

UPA 2006 Leader-Tag
Die UPA freut sich, Ihnen mitzuteilen, dass der 2006 Leader-Tag am Sonntag,
11.06.2006, vor der UPA-Konferenz durchgeführt wird (einen Tag bevor die
Konferenz beginnt, von 13.00 Uhr bis 16.30 Uhr). Das Treffen ist ein Forum,
wo momentane und zukünftige UPA Leader sich treffen und sich über UPA
Initiativen und die Arbeit bei der UPA austauschen können, um die nächste
Generation von UPA Leadern zu entwickeln. Das Treffen steht allen offen,
die früher oder aktuell als UPA Volunteer, Komittee-Mitglied, Chapter-Vorstand
oder ähnliches in einer "Leader"-Position für die UPA tätig
waren/sind. Die Teilnahme am Meeting ist kostenfrei.

UPA anuncia que la reunión del Día del Líder tendrá lugar el domingo 11
de junio (el día antes de que comience la conferencia) de 1:00pm a 4:30pm.
La reunión es un foro donde líderes presentes y futuros puedan verse cara
a cara. Conoce más sobre las iniciativas y trabajos UPA, y ayuda a desarrollar
la próxima generación de líderes. El encuentro está abierto a cualquiera
que sea o haya sido un líder de UPA, voluntarios, miembros del comité,
líderes de comunidades, etc. No hay ningún suplemento para acudir al acto.

GIORNATA MONDIALE DELL'USABILITA' 2006: KICKOFF
Quest'anno sarà ancora più grande ed estesa. Abbiamo messo in piedi
