As the head of the Pearson Experience Group, you will be responsible for managing a team of about a dozen usability analysts and human factors designers based in Indianapolis and in New Jersey, working with software development teams dispersed across North America and Asia. The team produces the visual design and front-end coding of the user interfaces for a wide range of Pearson's higher education websites and eLearning web applications, both new and existing.

With a wide-ranging target audience, you will need to have first-hand experience with design issues for learning systems, for non-technical as well as power-users, for users with limited English-language proficiency or with disabilities.

You will have an eye for detail, a penchant for outstanding interface design, a rigorous grasp of web design best practices, solid communication and organization skills, and be able to demonstrate an ability to bring projects home on time, on budget, and with superior quality. You will need a strong visual sense and thorough understanding of the power and constraints of current web technologies.

1)Ensure approved projects and products remain within approved budgets for usability design, through proper allocation your staff and use of contract help when required. Be able to 'adjust on the fly' as needed.
