- Provides coaching and feedback
The Mentee
- Develops a mentoring plan
- Schedules mentoring meetings
- Takes action based upon the mentoring relationship
- Integrates mentoring information into career planning
The Mentoring Plan and Relationship
- Is as formal or informal as necessary
- Meets as frequently as is convenient for both participants
- Requires that all participants come prepared to give and receive openly and in full confidence
Mentoring Process
Assess your interest and readiness for mentoring.
- Understand the process, roles, and responsibility
- SET GOALS.
Identify possible mentors on your own or through this site.
- Consider qualities, skills, and committments from peers, voluntary mentors or others you know in the profession.
Initiate the mentoring relationship.
Define, manage, and evaluate the relationship.
- Develop mentoring objectives and exchange expectations early in the process.
- Establish guidelines and agendas for your meetings.
- Monitor progress towards your goals and adjust as necessary.
